I’m an idea junkie with the eye of a photographer and the mind of a storyteller.

Students in my university courses call my teaching "challenging," "infectiously enthusiastic," "helpful," and "fun."

My professionally-agented book, Household Names: How Eight Creative Victorian Children Changed History, will go on submission to publishers in 2023.

I share a quirky nineteenth-century home in Springfield, IL with my husband, four stepchildren, our toddler, and a house rabbit.
